Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Crowwe explicitly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in every form and without exception. There is no context, no private conversation and no business account on Crowwe in which this material or conduct is permitted.
Accounts involved in CSAE are removed permanently, their content is preserved as evidence, and the matter is reported to the appropriate law enforcement and child protection authorities.
1. What these standards cover
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) means any sexual abuse or exploitation of a person under the age of 18, and any attempt, solicitation or facilitation of it.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) means any image, video, drawing, audio or written depiction of a child engaged in sexually explicit conduct, or any depiction of a child's intimate parts for sexual purposes.
Specifically prohibited on Crowwe
- Creating, possessing, sharing, requesting, advertising or linking to CSAM, in messages, calls, the video feed, profiles or any other part of the service.
- Sexualising a child in any content, caption, username, profile or business listing.
- Grooming: building a relationship with a child in order to sexually abuse or exploit them, including through gifts, money or wallet transfers.
- Sextortion: threatening to share a child's intimate images to obtain money, further images or any other benefit.
- Child trafficking, or advertising, arranging or paying for sexual contact with a child, including through Crowwe's wallet, invoices or payment features.
- Off-platform solicitation: using Crowwe to find, contact or move a child to another service for any of the above.
2. Minimum age
Crowwe is not intended for children. A person must be at least 13 years old to hold a Crowwe account, and older where local law requires a higher age for the financial services Crowwe provides. Accounts we identify as belonging to a child below the minimum age are closed.
3. How to report child sexual abuse or exploitation
Anyone can report, whether or not they use Crowwe. Reports about a child are treated as urgent.
Inside the app
- Report a video — open the menu on any video in the feed and choose Report video.
- Report a person or a conversation — open the chat menu and choose Report.
- Block a person — blocking stops all contact immediately. Blocked accounts are listed under Settings › Privacy.
Reports made in the app reach Crowwe's moderation team directly and are recorded with an audit trail.

4. How Crowwe responds

| Review | Reports involving a child are prioritised above all other reports and reviewed by Crowwe's moderation team. |
| Removal | Content that violates these standards is removed from Crowwe. |
| Account action | The account is suspended or permanently closed, and associated accounts are reviewed. |
| Preservation | Relevant content, account records and transaction records are preserved as evidence rather than deleted. |
| Referral | The matter is referred to the appropriate law enforcement and child protection authorities in the relevant jurisdiction, including the Nigeria Police Force and, where applicable, international child protection bodies. |
Crowwe cooperates with lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection agencies investigating CSAE.
5. Legal compliance
Crowwe complies with applicable child safety law in the jurisdictions in which it operates, including in Nigeria:
- the Child's Rights Act 2003;
- the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc.) Act 2015, including its provisions on child pornography and related offences;
- the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act 2015;
- the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, in the handling of any personal data connected to a report.
Where the law of another country applies to a user or a report, Crowwe complies with that law as well.
